Are You Getting Your First Tattoo?

Beauty & Fashion Blog

Are you totally excited about getting your first tattoo? Maybe you've put it off because you just couldn't decide what kind of tattoo you wanted. After all, getting the body art removed won't be that easy once it's in place.

No matter the scenario, from selecting a small design to getting a truly artistic larger tattoo, here are some ideas that might help you.

Are You Starting Small? - If you're not quite ready to have a large tattoo, think of some of your favorite things and have them represented in the tattoo. For example, are you a guy who loves anything to do with the ocean? If that's the case, a small anchor or a small compass might be perfect for your first tattoo. The anchor might be a reminder for you to be steadfast in your values. The compass might represent the fact that your life to be on a steady course.

If you're a girl who loves being outdoors, think of having something like a flower, a butterfly, or a lady bug as the tattoo. Or, choose two or three of those items that can be grouped together, say on your ankle.

Another idea if you want a small tattoo is to select a word that has meaning to you. For example, the words hope, love, or faith are all significant. They could be done in black, which might be less expensive for you.

Are You Interested In Tattoo Art? -  Maybe you've seen magnificent tattoos that could actually be framed and placed on a wall. Those tattoo artists know just how to use colors along with the tattoo design to create something very unique on your body.

Maybe you want the intricate tattoo to represent something special to you. For example, maybe you were born in a city and state that is far from where you live now. The tattoo artist will have the skills to draw a representation of the route that leads back to you home town.

Your culture might even influence the intricate tattoo design you select. For example, do you celebrate the Mexican holiday, Dia De Los Muertos, or, Day Of The Dead? Just imagine what a talented tattoo artist could do with that holiday in mind. From a single colorful skeleton to one surrounded by small skulls and flowers, that would for sure be a tattoo that will tell people how much you love your heritage, won't it?
